A Dogs Life

It’s a dogs life!

If you believe what you see and hear on the news then you will have undoubtedly heard that we as a nation love dogs.

I do sometimes question the validity of the statement when I see stories of such cruelty and abuse aimed at our animal friends.

However there are a lot of people who spend so much time with their dogs and spend so much money on them.

After all in my eyes they are worth it and they are part of the family and givers of unconditional love.

Buying a gift for your pet is just as exciting as buying for your other half or other family member with enthusiasm all around.

Gifts For Pupper – A Dogs Life

If you look around there are lots and lots of peculiar and interesting gifts for your dog.

It doesn’t have to be limited to the usual pack of dog treats, depending on your budget the choice is enormous.

From handmade luxury pet beds such as The Paddington

An elevated dog bed camping cot, as we all like to take our beloved pooches on camping trips.

Plus we have the top gifts, this is probably for us humans AND our dogs, it’s a Wi-Fi Pet Camera with Treat Dispenser!

I can’t begin to tell you how much I had to contain my excitement when I discovered such a wonderful gadget!

You use it remotely and can dispense treats and you can even chat with your pet! How amazing is that!?

For all we like to spend money on our dogs there are some great dog treat recipes out there so that you can make them yourself.

There is an article on Good Housekeeping which has some great dog treat ideas you can make yourself from home.

Such doggy treat classics as Heart Shaped Cranberry Cookies, Dog Donuts and Chicken and Wild rice biscuits, woof woof!

It’s a good idea to be able to make your own dog treats as you know what is going in them and isn’t going to make them ill.

Mental Health

Having a dog isn’t just beneficial for dog, you’re not just giving the dog a home, the dog can help with depression.

In society we have dogs that help in a variety of ways and one such way is to help with mental health issues.

Having a dog gets you out and about as it has to be walked.

A dog helps you to mix with people as you say hello on your morning walks, helping you to connect instead of isolating yourself.

Having the love of a four legged companion gives you the warmth and comfort that someone with mental health issues needs.

There are so many benefits of having a dog however if you can’t have a dog of your own you can still go for walks through a charity.

The Cinnamon Trust is a charity that helps to enable the terminally ill and the elderly to keep their pets.

If you have any spare time through the week you might want to consider helping out, it’s a really good cause and they need help.

As you can see not everything dog related has to cost a lot of money however we all want to spoil our furry friends no mater what!

It’s a dogs life, Happy walkies!!!
